The 2025/26 season in the win2day ICE Hockey League will begin on Friday, 12 September 2025. The Regular Season will be played in two round robins of 48 games per team and will be completed at the end of February. All 13 teams will play each other four times in a total of 312 games.

Pre‑Playoffs again

The teams ranked first to sixth after the Regular Season qualify directly for the quarterfinals. The teams in seventh to tenth place play "best‑of‑3" Pre‑Playoffs, with the seventh‑placed team choosing whether to play the ninth‑ or tenth‑placed team. The two winners complete the quarterfinal field.

The quarterfinal pairings continue to be determined by a playoff pick. The top‑3 teams choose their opponent after the Regular Season. The fourth‑placed team is not selectable and will face the team not chosen.

Playoffs "best‑of‑7"

The quarterfinals, semifinals and final are played in a "best‑of‑7" format. The first team to record four wins advances. In the semifinals, the top‑ranked team faces the opponent with the lowest Regular Season ranking.

Overtime rule in the Postseason

Starting with the Pre‑Playoff, if the score is tied after regulation, an endless sudden‑death overtime will be played. In non‑elimination games, skaters are reduced to three plus one goalie per team after the first complete 20‑minute overtime. In elimination games, five‑on‑five is played until a goal is scored.
